My Trip to Harlan

This week I went to Harlan Kentucky, where the TV show Justified is set (although I have never watched it) for a deposition.  It was hot and I didn't have much time but I managed to shoot a little in town and stop for a few more on the way back.

A Slow Week for Pics

It has been a slow week, photographically speaking.  A very busy week work-wise.  I spent most of Wednesday on the road.  This, I think, was taken on Route 80 somewhere in Knott County, Kentucky.  My two other pictures below come from just outside my own front door and back door, respectively.  There is always something new in Ann's garden!

Sunday, June 9

It was foggy here this morning, although I didn't get out the door early enough to do it justice.  I also didn't wander far.  All of these were taken near home.

A Modest Trip to Louisville

Wet Pavement
I traveled across a good section of the state of Kentucky to attend a conference in Louisville.  The weather was mostly good, but I did pass through a couple of pockets of heavy rain on the way.
What a Chair Looks Like at the Marriott
I was supposed to be staying at the Galt House, where my conference was, but there was a snafu with the reservations so I ended up a few blocks away at a Marriott.
Bourbon Barrel Ale at the Seelbach
Two of my favorite things: beer and photography, at one of my favorite bars.

Sunday Morning Road Pics

Got up early this morning and went for a drive in the neighborhood of Stonecrest Golf Course (without actually going to the golf course).

I really like the clarity I am getting from the Ricoh GRD III camera.
